Noodlevrin

Let me introduce the Noodlevrin.

Pretty cute, huh?

This noodly buddy is all the cuddly greatness of the average boop-snoot-noodle but with zero of the responsibility or appetite requirements.

I created Noodlevrin because I was looking for an ice pack solution for my migraines. Initially I considered a Wyvern, but dragons are so commonly found and let’s face it—the wings looked hard to knit.

So I thought, hey I loved having a pet snake.

This is Thor. I loved this dopey guy.

I didn’t mind caring for him, but not something I have the best time for now.

So I just started knitting. And then like that I was done.

Noodlevrin was added to the Safari list of animals I’ve made.

What’s great about Noodlevrin is not only can it be floppy and squashy, but weight can be added, scents, even hot or cold packs.

I do not crochet these boop-snoots. They are mostly knitted. I think it gives more of a scale effect.

Mara named hers rainbow lavender for zero reason at all ❤️

My pendulums cost what they cost because I put my soul into them. The knowledge to make them and the energy needed to do so is so much. Not to mention the material, and components.

Old Soul Magic

I wanted to share something personal. A little magical. A whole lot of wonder.

Why?

Because one of my dreams is coming true—I get to be a vendor for my favorite holistic convention.

The thought came to me while I was prepping some door prizes the coordinator requested. That thought was simple, but powerful: I’m going to do it.

And I felt it in my bones.

This isn’t something I usually talk about. The way I make things—especially pendulums—isn’t part of a sales pitch. It’s a practice. A pull. A quiet thing that tugs at the corners of my intuition until it becomes real.

Maybe some context before I get into the surprise.

Some families have traditions. Mine included crafting pendulums. My mom and I would sit and make them together, and she’d always say I had a better hand for it. Said it was my Gypsy blood. She called it family magic.

I never questioned it. Making pendulums always felt like remembering something, not learning. Like I was pulling something through, not building it from scratch.

Each pendulum chooses its own appearance. Sometimes it wants a stone. Sometimes just the antler is enough. I don’t argue. I don’t design. I just listen.

I don’t really think of myself as the maker. I’m the guide. The hands. The in-between.

That’s the feeling I’m pulling on now.

This weekend, I get to step out of the quiet. I get to share these pendulums—not just as tools, but as pieces of that old magic, shaped with memory, spirit, and reverence.

Believe it or not, I do receive a considerable number of product suggestions from a wide variety of sources. Most of these intriguing ideas come from those of you who I encounter when I am at the bustling Dakota Flea Market, where your boundless enthusiasm unfailingly sparks creativity within me. Sometimes, my talented brandfrens generously share their innovative ideas and unique perspectives with me, which often leads to exciting new and unexpected directions for my work.

On other occasions, when I find myself feeling particularly stuck and in need of fresh inspiration, I turn to ChatGPT (Nova) for assistance, which sometimes results in quite outlandish and imaginative concepts for me to explore.

The latest creative experiment that emerged from this collaborative process involved the careful crafting of a truly unique pair of earrings. Initially, I crafted a stunning pair just for myself to ensure there was no lurking notion of absurdity in my idea—no, not the rapper, just a personal and artistic endeavor.

To my genuine delight and surprise, these earrings turned out beautifully, exceeding all of my previous expectations and leaving me truly proud of the outstanding results. As of today, I only have one pair left, which is artfully showcased below for your enjoyment.
